Danny yes of course the gap does get larger but point is know what you are paying for! Its not just I need armor to protect myself from getting capped or not. Its actually protection from a specific sliver of mob population in immediate future. And if these people aren’t capping much in next 3 days then you come out ahead not equipping armor. The example you gave with 10k mob made alot of sense, but what happens when it's 20k mob? Then the gap you're payig for is alot bigger.. So at what mob count do you think armor is worth it? Or do you think it has to do with income only?
Again if you are in war of have high probability these very specific mob sizes are going to cap you then you need armor. If in war with mobs outside this silver (ie range) you are throwing money away that could be used for hopping or rebuilding turf.

Yes it’s all about income. Sometimes things are easier to understand at the edges. If you made 1trillion dollars an hour should you always equip armor? Of course! Not equipping armor is a clear mistake. If you make 500 dollars an hour should you equip armor that will have you making negative income? This is a much more murky question. Probably more likely incorrect but there is a scale from 500 an hour to 1 trillion and specific situation dictates things.
Again I think lots of mistakes are made with armor. I definitely buy it but quick to discard as well. Very unlikely I’ll ever sell a laupa I buy but could happen. It gets back to the half life of 2.6 days vs 20 days. Hopefully this is making things more clear rather than less.

Thanks, BMF! I'm glad you posted your thoughts. You'll definitely help define the future of game strategy with this.
Thanks but I don't think that's true if you are talking about the big boys. As I have said if you have massive income from turfs this stuff is a mute point and it actually becomes incorrect to not equip armor 100% of the time.
This post is more for the people struggling to make the rent. If you have 1000 mob and 1000 turf then it is wrong not to always equip armor, imo. If you are 35k mob with 200 turf it becomes more important and probably incorrect to have armor 100% of the time. This post is for guys with the low paying job and lots of kids to feed. You can easily buy your way out of tough decisions with increase in turf limit (ie increasing income).

Ok we are playing completely different games. Care about win%,No hopping, etc.Your arguments make sense; however, it depends on your game play. Some players care about their win% like mystery and myself. I know that my stats directly reflect the way I played and I went for defense and maxing the equipment for my mob ASAP and when I had the 💰 flow.
Ultimately your argument is about money. I have plenty of cash banked and have nothing to spend it on, even though I went straight up increasing weapons/armor as soon as I had the money. (not an invitation to rob me✌) I'm crossing my fingers for some type of casino/gambling/ or way to spend the money in the future (convert it to don PTs!).
Hopping and airports do not make sense to me so no I haven't spent money doing that. All my turfs are places that I've actually been.

Valuable info!

I don't give a crap about my win/ratio. As I continue to grow my mob I'm going to avoid the armor and instead continue to focus on lapuas. Is it good to mix in Tommys?

IMHO no. Especially if only buying two turf limit a day. I only buy Tommie's for very specific cases. Again boils down to att reward v cash. You only gain 4 att for high price and worse upkeep. Small mob range where it makes a diff.I don't give a crap about my win/ratio. As I continue to grow my mob I'm going to avoid the armor and instead continue to focus on lapuas. Is it good to mix in Tommys?
Infinite cash and turf limit always buy max Tommie's and luapas and armor.

Other random point think about if armor was free but cost 5000 hr to equip. When would you use it and not use it. Not never not always right?

Very good information! Thanks for the read!

Good advice 👍

👏👏👏
BMF, I'd just like to say thanks for posting a relevant TW related thread that actually contains useful info, has a concise point, and isn't full of trolls and their nonsense! I never really thought about the half life of armor and now my strategies may change a little.Bravo, my good man, bravo!

Thanks for the post BMF. this made a great read. Although I have not sold what I had already bought I did stop buying. The extra information provided here makes it really clear.
