The answer is complicated but the reasons why US and UK are so heavily involved in policing the world IMO are twofold. 1. They both have massive arms industries and it is therefore in their economic interest to be in wars and keep arms industry running and citizens employed. 2. Both are advanced democracies that generally have policy of fighting abroad to avoid civil unrest at home aka distraction technique; bear in mind militant tendancies are normally from found in younger generation and soldiers tend to be younger generation!

Hey those emu's are big mean and nasty bastards. Plus they can run really fast.
