Bort an analysis
Before anyone jumps down my throat I am merely considering how Bort has come to be what he is to the community. Whilst I may not agree with many, I totally respect each having their own views. My view is based on a review of the post "In Memory of Bort"
Bort was a much loved turf owned by Itchy area. Bort lived from 16 June to 20 June last year when despite the best efforts of Itchy area he was capped.
After Borts demise Princess Echoplex planted a turf in Borts honor named Bort Lives. It was claimed a miracle that she received Capo as a result of this however it is likely simply attributed to the increase in influence this turf provided. She could have named the Turf Hyena is coming and would have received the same result.
Players started naming turf in Borts honor. Hooters (formerly Pink) came out as the person who killed Bort and claimed there was a darker side to Bort.
The first of They acknowledges the poetic nature of the obituary for Bort.

Itchy area then asks players to spread the Word of Bort by players naming Turf in his honor and advising him of any miracles that occur to be attributed to Bort. (note this is the 1st step to asking platers to raise Bort to a religious figure)
Angel of Blades called for a crusade to claim the Holyland. However, admits a lack of knowledge as to the location of the Holyland.
There were no further "miracles" or any further action taken regarding the crusade reported in the thread.
From a review of the thread "In Memory of Bort" I have determined that Bort was a Turf like any other Turf. The only difference being he was loved by his creator. Whilst many mourned the passing of Bort and raised turf in his remembrance some tried to raise him to godhood. As far as I can tell Bort never claimed any relation to God and only 1 questionable miracle was published. This doesn't even meet the Catholic Church's requirements for Sainthood.

Some may choose to continue to follow Bort, I for one whilst respectful of his passing find nothing to warrant worship of him. Further I can see no lessons to be learned from Bort to improve my life or gameplay.
I am happy to review further archived documents if they come to light.

Bort thy praise be known, his jewel be sacred.... Lest thy name be forgot, a penance placed in thy hOnor. Praise Bort, the blessed be, the name of our lord. Hail bort, for thine is the kingdom and the power, forever, praise bort, honk.

Praise Bort. Also, praise Turfa, for he is great. 😉👌

I created a turf almost 2 years ago dedicated to Bort. It was lost for a while, but I have it back.

I'd say this just goes to show you the difference in reading about something versus experiencing it.
There is a lot more history to it that isn't written about in the thread. You'd have to take into account GC3, PSI's crew, the wars around that same time, etc.
