I skimmed the article. But I'm familiar with a lot of what's mentioned already. And yeah, I see this as one of those situations that just gets out of hand. I hope not. It won't be pretty. China is trying to get ahead of us right now. They see us struggling and are trying to seize the opportunity.

No it's just an exercise. But it's massive. It just makes me nervous. An opportunity like that would be too easy for the Chinese to pass up. Fire off a bunch of live missiles and then say it was an accident.

This sums things up quite well. Pretty much how I look at it.
I feel that if we go over for rebalancing it will be taken the wrong way so there will either be a war or us attempting an attack to bring democracy or freedom there

Then again, our economy practically relies on them. If we slip up we're screwed. Sure we could make all the stuff here but imagine how much the economy would hurt. Although it might get better over time because businesses will come back here and people here will be hired and such.

Oh you can count on it. The biggest problem would be pride. Asians in general (not taking a shot at Asians/orientals) are extremely prideful. If they accepted us going over there in the first place, they would look weak for accepting any kind of help or change. It's a recipe for trouble.

If anything we should be more afraid of unconstitutional acts by the gov. here then worry about that. Obama waging war in Libya when we weren't in any danger. That one guy arrested without a fair trial accused of being with Al Queda. Watch the Alex Jones channel on youtube, because were more in danger of being overrun by the bankers. That first than China.

Sooooo again... Is it a navy "exercise", or someone else? Because if it is a naval push in the pacific, it isn't an exercise, and more of another show of power. Quite like the missile they launched from a undetected submarine off the coast of Catalina Island, California last year. The one they said was a commercial plane.... That was spiraling up in a 120 degree angle....

Alex Jones fear mongers as much as the gov. But I do agree. We were in no danger, that was just for oil. Don't forget NDAA and the new SOPA called CISPA.

Not quite sure. China claims it owns the oceans that Taiwan claims it (Taiwan) owns, and apparently china moved some forces in that direction, so the US wants to balance things out.

The article does say its an exercise. But like I said, it'd be a great opportunity for the Chinese. It's worrying.

Ya but If we went to war with china our allies might stop trade with them. Then after we recover, we can trade with them.
