Musical tastes evolve and change throughout the years. How have yours changed? When i was young i only loked christian music then at about 18 i discovered how much more sophisticated secuar music was. I then moved to classic rock and shortly after metal. In recent years ive been enjoying spme folk as well.

Not really. Only change is less Metallica. After the napster incident and the crappy albums following it, it was time to move along.
-
Extremely...more so just listening to more diverse music. Still hate 90% of modern music though.
-
My tastes I think have matured a bit, and I like a wider variety of music, but I still haven't broken a pledge I made in 1980:
I don't like country.
What I do like is that the stuff I grew up on is still there for me, and new discoveries from well before my birth until now are filling up my playlists with weeks of pure awesome.

Started with popular music.
Moved to metal.
Moved to punk.
Moved to reggae.
Moved to ska.
Moved to indie everything. -

The beginning of Christian music was all bad. Now lots of Christian bands are just as good as secular counterparts. That is, there is the same ratio of all Christian bands to good Christian bands as there are bad secular bands to good secular bands.Musical tastes evolve and change throughout the years. Anywho, I used to listen almost exclusively to Johnny Cash. Then I found U2 and Coldplay. Now I listen mostly to RED and Skillet. -
I've been listening to Evanescence since I was around 7 years old...
Still listening to them today. The only change in my music tastes is I've recently developed a love for Sick Puppies and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. -
Started with Metal when i was a little kid, still metal today ✌
Although i have to say i've grown to like metal core quite a lot more over the past 3 years or so.
-
My tastes have definitely changed over the years. Appreciate a wide variety if music.
-
I went from loving hiphop in the 90's to hating hiphop of today.
-
When I was 10, Mariah Carey was my idol. Top 40s, didn't know better.
12-14: opened up to ska, classic rock, alternative, oldies, reggae. decided I was born in the wrong decade & I had a cute little hippie inside dying to fly free.
15-18: all of the above and my inner gangsta emerged like a bat out of hell.
19+: full realization that rap, hip hop, & r&b after 2003 are nothing like & nowhere as good as they were before then. Full realization that doowop, Motown & jazz are underappreciated these days & goddamn, can black folks make incredible music. I never have, still don't, & likely never will like country.
-
You cant beat true indie, punk (not greenday or that shit, real punk like the sex pistols) and grunge
-
My musical change had developed slot since I started listening. As I was really young, I listened to old 80/90s type music and then I turned to rock. Now I am more for electronic and drum and bass, moving onto dubstep (which I am guessing most of you won't like)
-
As a kid I listened to stuff like Tom petty, Aerosmith, Annie Lennox, etc. sice then I have thrown everything in the mix. Including today's country. I don't like the old stuff but the new artists I like
-
Oh my gosh! Something I can agree upon with Brown - I don't care for country, either, I find it too depressing to listen to. I don't think my music tastes have changed - more expanded. I still love to hear the music I grew up with, but I also appreciate a whole range of genres. Can't get into female opera voices, though, I find them irritating, but love many of the male opera voices.
-
I used to be the musically incompetent middle schooler like most people in my school, who liked the new pop songs and stuff, but I have recently listened only to 70's/80's music.

Moved from rap to rock and metal. Best switch I ever made
-
I can do indie, I can do industrial, I can do classical, I can do punk, I can do surfer.
I can do grunge, I can do ambient, I can do classic rock.
I can do TMBG and squirrel nut zippers. I can do Japanese garage and I can do stoner.
I'll do movie scores and 80's big hair. Lords of acid and Run DMC.
But if you give me Garth Brooks or Reba I'll puke on your boots.
Right now I am comfortably numb.
-
I for the most part agree with the country comments. All though i dont mind some of the classic country. But hate the moddern stuff.

I used to rule the world, seas would rise when I gave the word. Now in the morning I sleep alone, sweep the streets I used to own. I used to roll the dice, feel the fear in my enemy's eyes, listen as the crowd would sing, now the old king is dead, long live the king...one minute I held the key, next the walls were closed on me, and I discovered that my castle stands upon pillars of sand, pillars of sand....
Even this.

Why the fuck does everyone here listen to metal and classic rock? I'm more of a strokes guy when it comes to rock. I also like vampire weekend and Coldplay but mainly I listen to drake. His songs have meaning and he is a real, down to earth kinda dude, who loves his fans. Drizzy!

Taylor was a good girl, never want to be late,
complain, express, ideas in her brain,
working on the night shift, passing out the tickets,
you're going to have to pay her, if you want to park here,
well mommy's little dancer has a quite a little secret,
working on the streets now, never going to keep it,
it's quite an imposition, but now she's only wishin,
that she would have listened to the words they said ...
Poor Taylor...She just wanders around, unaffected by,
the winter winds, well she'll pretend that, she's somewhere else,
so far and clear, 'bout 2000 miles from here ...
Peter Patrick pitter-patters on the window,
but Sunny's silouette won't let him in,
and poor old pete's got nothing, 'cause he's been falling,
and somehow Taylor# knows, just where he's been,
he thinks that singing on sunday 'gonna save his soul,
now that saturday's gone, well sometimes he thinks that he's on his way,
but i can see, that his brake lights are on... -
I've also expanded. I listen to rap, classic rock, rock, lil bit of country, eyc.

Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just diedEverybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long stem rose
Everybody knowsEverybody knows that you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you've been faithful
Ah give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you've been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knowsEverybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knowsEverybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows -
