it's not like there aren't literally tens of thousands of sites about HTML, not the least of which would be the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)'s web reference to it.
Nick sanitizes a lot of HTML tags, including href (hyperlink tags) and img (image tags). I really don't get everyone's fascination with emoji and HTML, the knowledge isn't that arcane or hard to uncover. There is literally a thread on every other page talking about HTML or emoji tricks, and I personally think it's all pretty unsightly.
Myspace allowing kids to crap up their pages with seizure inducing HTML is what, in my opinion, destroyed it next to Facebook.

To be fair, you can't really say it makes threads stand out, because where almost all thread titles use Emoji or are posted with someone with Emoji in their name, it's not that they stand out, it's that they cover up other threads with a random splatter of Emoji. There's nothing wrong with it (with anything) in moderation, but it just seems like people use it indiscriminately. I can't really explain why it's unsightly, I'm just picky. I'm a web designer.ok how is the ability to go bold or make a custom code blue unsightly? Also emoji is very usefull. It makes threads stand out.
