Full battery going to starbuck. 40 munutes later i hit the 20% alert and now its draining at 1% every 3 minutes. Is the app constantly using the gps and thus draining faster? Also i am not using wifi but 3g on a 3gs.

What has been your battery experidnce with TW?

Turf wars usually kills the battery faster than standerd apps. Gps plus Internet can kill a battery. I usually just keep my brightness low and turn off my wifi when I'm not using it

Turn off wifi & Bluetooth, decrease brightness and turn off push notifications

turn off ssh and get a juicer. mine is little but can bring my phone back by half when it's low.

Turf Wars is designed to minimize battery use as much as possible, but there are some scenarios where you might get some higher battery drain. If you're seeing the "fetching location" bar alot, you may see higher battery drain since it means the GPS system is powered up and operating.

You can help the GPS find you faster by moving to an area with a view of the sky (I.e. moving outside or holding your device near a window, preferably in a crowded area so lots of people can see you. Also, try to look excited)

Turf Wars is also very connection-dependent so you'll be using the 3G and/or wireless radios alot - try switching to wifi whenever possible since this uses less battery.

I think turf wars has been the downfall of my battery. It is semi battery dependent especially when on the go. When I was away last on 3G in a hotel I could barely charge my phone while playing and it was heating up a lot. Now even if I don't touch my phone for 20 minutes after a full charge I'm still down 20% battery. I think I'm due for a new battery in this thing anyway.
