🎨 Any Artists Out There? 🎨

I don't know about you, but I love most things creative! I've won several trophies for my jewelry, metalsmithing, cake decorating, and flower arranging, and rosettes for ^most of those^ plus rugweaving, paintings, and drawings. Other projects I've completed include (but are not limited to): ceramics, pottery, crocheting, wood burning, sculpting, carving, enameling, wax casting (a metalsmithing/jewelry thing), glass fusing, photography, photo editing (for a school project, it was really cool!), many different drawing/painting mediums, sewing, duct tape stuff, basket-weaving (unfortunately not underwater... 😔), and other random crafts. I can't think of any more right now, but there sure is.
How 'bout you guys? Any artists out there? Have you won anything? 🎨🏆

I also write poetry (not that great though 😒), stories, fanfics, and music, although that's not really the artsy stuff I was talking about...

I do a lot of creative stuff in my spare time: I bake cakes and make jewellery for money. I've done a couple of art exhibitions and have a few commissions on the go. Also, I make 1/6 scale military stuff, just for fun.

I like to think I'm ok at drawing, but I criticize my stuff too much and end up rarely liking them.

Check out my website www.sykedesigns.com NYC artist here, all the way!

I honestly don't know if photography is more art or skill. A photograph can portray art. The photographer may be skillful alone and make art.
The experience of looking at a real life scene and seeing beauty is human. Capturing it may require skill, but didn't the art live in the scene with or without the photographer?
If putting a frame around life makes me an artist... I dunno.
Is the recognition of art enough to make an artist?
Winogrand said that a photograph is not the thing that was photographed, but is a new thing entirely.
Maybe. I doubt.

Yeah, I don't really consider photography super artistic, but I thought I'd include it because I did it for 4H. I'm not a pro or anything. But there are some photos that are artistically taken, like when they set something up and capture it in a specific way, maybe only seen at a certain angle. You know what I mean? Or maybe I'm just kind of rambling and no one knows what I'm talking about...I feel like that happens quite frequently... 😳

I'm an illustrator/writer currently at an art school :). Haven't won any awards but I also haven't really been in the industry long. Just small commissions for companies here and there. Things are picking up though!

I paint and do some carpentry.
In third grade I got an award for best art and behaveyoure. -
I would like to try art related things when I am older. I'm still an early teenager, but I have a certain knack for poetry. For stories, I'm good at coming up with ideas, but I'm too lazy to try and write anything.

Cake decorator, I do it as a hobby, but I'm pretty good at it. Made a castle cake that was 4 ft tall, a life size guitar cake with real guitar strings for the kids to play with. My last cake was a winter wonderland cake, with ice skaters that moved around the top of the cake using magnets and electric motors.
My best cake was Mater from Cars, it's better then anyone else's that I've ever found online.

I mostly build plastic models and stuff. I can draw pretty well.
However, my most unique art skill is woodcarving. I carve birds out of wood to look exactly as they do in RL. Life sized and highly detailed. The most annoying, yet coolest part of the process is wood burning the feather lines and the quills. It looks amazing when done, but takes up so much time. I wish I could post a pic so you guys could see.
