So who just downloads all their movies, music and games instead of paying for them. It's just too easy.
Is it a question of morals? -

www.torrentbox.com or www.ovguide.com or www.alluc.org is better -
Piratebay is pretty decent.

And listening to it on YouTube untill it gets here. It's also easy to get off iTunes. The excuse "it's easy" doesn't work.

Some independent artists distribute by torrent. Not all torrents are "illegal" or "copyright"

I like to buy my DVDs. And if I can't get it I will use iTunes. I downloaded v (2009) by iTunes, it was quite cheap and meant I could watch it on my phone
-
I pirated the entire season one and half of seaon two of the walking dead and watched. Now I pay for watching it. It doesn't deserve to be pirated

Your money isn't helping the artist anyway if you buy it. About 90% of it goes to the companies that they had to get to even be published. And by the time they do that, the movie would more than likley be succsesful and already grossed about 5x the original budget. It's not like your 5 bucks is going to make a difference. We dont need another Metallica vs. napster.

I hate this keyboard... -
Is it stealing If you let your buddy borrow a movie, cd, or video game? Same concept. Someone bought the media, and then uploaded it.
I have mix feelings on it. Part of me thinks it's stealing, the other part thinks it sharing legally bought media.
Take the walking dead, I pay for cable subscription and get AMC, yet I would much rather watch it on my laptop. So I could either go to iTunes and pay $30 for something I already pay for, or I could use uttorent.

It's a federal offense to download pirated content and could land you a heavy fine or even a prison sentence. They have really been cracking down on it and te FBI has even shut down several websites that supplied pirated content.
-
It's the cause of the cost of CDs and DVDs to go down in price, and frankly that's a good thing

"This is the home of Lars Ulrich, the drummer for Metallica. Look. There's Lars now, sitting by his pool. This month he was hoping to have a gold-plated shark tank bar installed right next to the pool, but thanks to people downloading his music for free, he must now wait a few months before he can afford it. Come. There's more. Here's Britney Spears' private jet. Notice anything? Britney used to have a Gulfstream IV. Now she's had to sell it and get a Gulfstream III because people like you chose to download her music for free. The Gulfstream III doesn't even have a remote control for its surround-sound DVD system. Still think downloading music for free is no big deal?"

Banks make a profit. So do supermarkets. So it's ok to rob them if you leave them still making a profit?
