What will they call the time period from 2000-2010 and 2010-2020 when they've passed? I know this sounds trivial but being part of the generation growing up in the 2000s I wonder what the era will be remembered as.

Good question!!
I am 80s child so we have all sorts of crap on us.
I call the 2000-2010 the button generation. My kids have never had to turn dial on a t.v roll down a window in car or would have clue how to use a rotary phone. To be fair they understand the 235 buttons on the remote better than I do.
In short - The Button generation.

Not the generation but the time period. The 1920-1929 period was the 20s, but what will the 2000 - 2010 period be called?

here (uk) 2000-2010 are reffered to as the naughties. As in zero (0) is sometimes called naught.
I guess 2010-2020 will b called the ten's?

Hmmm. I dunno. All my teachers have said we are the next generation and we will amount to many great things. But alot of the kids can barely read at the schools I've been to. They pause literally 5 secs between each word. It's bit only in Mississippi. I went to school in Arkansas for a few weeks and it's the same there.
