Since I lost a buddy along with 28 other coal miners in one of the worst mining disasters in West Virginia history.

They sealed that portal but they are getting ready to start mining it again from the back side. My brother is getting transferred there soon and needless to say I'm a little worried.

A lot of my family work coal. Located in KY though. Uncle drives the dragline some others haul it and few do the digging. I never can understand why our safety measures are so horrible.

I'm really not trying to be an ass but, aren't u out of work? If they reopen that mine doesn't that get u a job? I'm very sorry about the brave men who lost their lives down there, but if they made the mine safer isn't reopen ing it a good thing? Just asking and not trying to be an ass. Sorry for your lose again.

They're only transferring people there that are working in other mines that are closing soon.

It can be a good thing. I know that MSHA will be keepin that mine on its toes.
