More Players?

I looked for a similar post and couldn't find it, so sorry if this has already been discussed.

The number of active players around me has doubled in the past few weeks. Some look like they picked the game back up and some look new. Has anyone else noticed this kind of uptick? Is there any reason (like an ad campaign or TW being featured somewhere) that caused this?

A couple of new players sprung up in my area. One of them tried to tax me so I gave him a warm welcom😲💢👋
