The series has renewed the public's interest in the actual Alcatraz prison, so much so that the National Park Service has had to install warning signs for its public tours. Fans of the TV series have broken away from tours in an attempt to find the "nerve center" that is shown underneath the prison on the show. Can anyone confirm this? That'd be hilarious if idiots actually are tryin to find that on the island.

Watched the first two episodes. I thought the acting was bad and the storey lame. Maybe i should kept watching. Did it get better?

only seen the first two episodes so far n don't get it?
Didn't Alcatraz have problems with visitors before when it featured in The Rock which showed underground areas and escape tunnels etc, all non existent in reality

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but what proof is there that there's nothing there?

How many people had bomb shelters under their houses in those days, why couldn't Alcatraz have tunnels?

the guards assured me there were no underground rooms or tunnels, it was all for the film.
I know that's just there word, but bomb shelters serve a purpose, I can't see any reason to have tunnels etc under a prison for where it could serve a security breach?
