  Anyone know how to do it for iPhone 3G I know the processor in the iPhone is capable of 600 MHz but apple has it underclocked at 412mhz

  The speed of a computer has to do with a lot more than the proc speed. I would say that you would be risking the life if your device for a minimal increase.

Well really it wouldn't matter, I mean if the CPU is capable but downclocked it wouldn't have any effect. But if he was truly over-clocking that would be something different.

  Ya. But the reason CPUs are underclocked is to reduce heat which causes wear and tear. Just because it's capable of 600mhz doesn't mean that it's optimal.

  Apple is known for deleloping devices with poor heat dispersion. You can overclock, but don't count on ur device working for more than a few months.
