Paranoia.
Forums › General Discussion › Paranoia.-
I've always had a minor case of paranoia that was controllable but recently I've not been able control it. I think it might be stress from the exams and revision and stuff.
I'll name a event that happened yesterday for the sake of it. I was sat in double English and I randomly thought to myself if the girl next to me liked my hair. I instantly had a daydream/vision? of her sat at the park with her boyfriend, who is also my bestfriend. Laughing and mocking my hair behind my back.
At first I felt horrible, betrayed and upset that someone I trust would do that. But after I minute I felt annoyed and angry that I just did that to myself. It got me worked up to point of shaking and a tiny urge to cry. -
I've even started to tear apart childhood or recent memories that I enjoy and are happy. One that happened this morning was I had a flashback of me drawing whiskers on my face with chocolate cake at my party. I started question myself, even though I was a child, with stuff like "why the hell did you do that? Everyone probably thought you were a freak".
It's started to happen 3 times a day and it scares me. I don't like the fact that I'm not controlling my own thoughts. I fear that this will become continuous and I'm going insane.
I just need some tip and hints on controlling it or calming down. Getting rid of stress or whatever.
Any help is appreciated. -
You need to see someone that can give you professional advice.
-
Yikes. Ultimately you are choosing what to think, but a part of your mind is making choices that the mind as a whole rejects.
I know they have medicine for this (I am making the assumption that you are not taking any drugs, illegal or not, that cause paranoia). I had an ex wife that had paranoid delusions, and she needed medication. You should definitely see a health professional. If nothing else you'll have someone with you trying to help you figure it out. And don't worry about the stigma of going to a dr about "head" problems. Better to figure it out now and see what the pros think. Good luck. -
I can't. It took so much effort to just write it on here.
My heart is racing and I'm shaking.
I don't want medicine. -

You really should tell someone( mother, father, sister, brother...)

Anyway its good to let it out although i think forums and the internet aint the best place! Atleast dont keep it in yourself talk about it with people, see a doc, or even wright it in forums! Dont keep it in yourself!

This is standard procedure !!! Learn to take it with a pinch of salt ! 👍

If you think it's starting to become a problem then maybe it's worth speak to somebody u trust or better yet a medical professional. IMO it sounds like intrusive thoughts, we all get them. Probably a result of stress as there is a direct link between stress and vulnerability.

I sometimes get that same stuff. When im stressed because of schoolwork, etc., I always think anyone laughing is laughing about me (or stuff like that), them I just tell myself "why do I care wht they think?". In all reality, it doesn't.

I couldn't look at that girl for the rest of day because I had the same emotions and images force their way back in.
It's like someone else is telling me this stuff and I'm watching a video. But I know it's me. -

What does it mean anything? What can I do? -
You need to tell someone. How old are you?

Depends if they are distressing you. You need to rationalise them. It's hard to say given limited info in this thread. Other factors may come into play: age, normal changes i.e testosterone levels etc etcℐⱥʗҝ💉ⅅⱥ💉ℜⅈ₱₱ⅇℜ wrote:

My teacher is likely to tell someone else. Who will then tell someone else ect ect. Teachers can't be trusted. They are forced to tell someone. -
The tell you grandparents or see a doctor.

Exactly. You may only need to discuss these thoughts with a therapist in order to gain control over them.Superyan wrote:

I don't want medicine. If you are brave enough to share your thoughts here, you are brave enough to print or screen shot it and share it with your MD.
I'm very proud of you for sharing it here as a first step. That's only the first step though, albeit a very brave one!! Hugs darlin.

Well done for sharing it.
NOW KEEP GOING AND TELL A DOCTOR AND BEAT IT!!!!!!! -
Who to talk to? Your doctor. Your regular MD.
Intrusive thoughts are ones that interrupt your normal flow of thinking in a very negative way.
They intrude into your thinking.
Please screenshot and just share it with your MD. It can only help. Keep being brave. You are awesome and I'm just very happy you talked about it here to get advice.
Pm me anytime. You'll find lots of support here from myself and others.

Ring your doctor up, you can do it without names, and tell him your problems, let him give you advise and follow it.
-
You can pm me to
