I was just wondering what progamming language TW was written in. Anyone know?
-
I believe there's only one language that compiles foe the iphoneos... ObjC (I'm not a Mac programmer so correct me if I'm wrong)
-
Nah I'm guessing it's all basic http coding and good layout which is also http codes but pl codes might be used so it's no language
-
Besides web applications, objective c is the only language iPhone apps can be made in. I think
-
Actually some of these apps are made differentley and then decoded using I think a monotype single hype decoder something like that

Oh I thought he meant the application itself. In that case I imagine it's written in PHP with a MySQL backend (because he's on a CentOS server).

Are you talking about the web end? He wouldn't need to encode anything because he's the only one who sees the code.

I'm 99.9% sure it's PHP.
-
I remember when the coding went all squirrely over 3G, so nick had to change some gubbins
-
To make it work in the uk and Germany. (damn spell correction made me press 'post', man I hate that)

Turf wars appears to be, basically, a web interface (you're clicking around HTML web sites), making Turf Wars itself just a specialized browser. Behind that, feels like Java, but I'm going off of JSON errors I've received.
Also, what add cow posted was literally technical jibberish.

Turf Wars is a "hybrid" iPhone app, a mix of native code and web technologies. Several other games take this approach too.
The client (what you're using now) is written in Objective-C and most of the screens are HTML/JavaScript/CSS, and the server is running PHP with a MySQL database and some other technologies.
