If I go to sleep and I don't move at all, after 10-15 minutes I'll have this wierd sensation that feels like I'm being charged with electricity and my heart will start to race. I have searches all over the Internet for the answer but all I'm getting is that the cause is anxiety, which I do not have. I was wondering if this is the feeling you get when your body falls asleep before your mind and how to get past this.

Also, this is happening when I try to get my body to fall asleep before my mind. I am doing this to try to lucid dream.

There are some weird things that happen when your body is entering the state of suspended rest, it's normally linked to early childhood. For instance, i always feel like i'm falling face first from a high distance because i fell out of a shopping cart and cracked my skull as a little kid... Hope that helped a bit. Ever shocked when you were a kid..?

See your doctor and ask about a sleep study if it's really a big problem. They are covered by insurance. They do all ages.

Not really falling, but my body feels really light.
