It sends a good message but I knew that they were probably keeping most of the money sent in. I think they only sent about 34% of the money to Africa but I can't remember the actual percentage.

That's just how a charity works. Susan g Coleman only sends about 18%. But I will say some of the ways they decided to spend the money that went to better the charity were not necessary but what evs

It's a moral toughie. The question is that if someone works for a charity, should they be able to have the same financial success as someone who doesn't? Ultimately even if they are only giving a small percentage to a good cause, they are still giving more than most to the extent where their largest expenditure is philanthropic.

They sent about 1/3 of the money to africa for rebuilding schools and such things.
Kony has been dead for over 5 years, and have you seen the guy running it? He was caught streaking down the highway. I'd like to see who supports their cause after THAT.

My concept of donating is simple. If the "charity" pays for workers, it's not a true charity. The best thing to do is find somebody in need, and hand them the money. If you know a family is struggling in your community, put an envelope under their door. Most Churches have lists of people in need. It feels even better when you know 100% of your money went to a person in need.
