I have to do a study/survey/experiment tomorrow using my classmates. I want to split them up into 2 groups and make each group take some kind of assessment. But for one of the groups I want to change their comfort level (like make them take the test outside in the heat) something like that and then let the 2 groups switch and take another test.

Do u guys have any ideas on how I could change their comfort level? Please remember that I'm in school so I can't make them get naked or something...

Prop up the back two legs of their chairs a little, so they can't lean back without slipping out of the seat.
Making them lean forward it very uncomfortable.

One hand in ice water or sitting on a heating pad. The other option would be having a strong smell. Hard to easily clear the odor though. You could also determine a difference between psychological verses physical distraction.

Maybe make them all have to share a pen so it's more time consuming and frustrating.

Do the test kneeling on concrete and having to write on the concrete. This will actually put them in one of the turture position used by the inquistion, only they will be able to stretch it out every now and then...

Keep making noises. Tap or hit the table repeatedly. Bring something that skinks really really bad and walk around holding it up to everyone. Or eat something while making pig like noises.

I would just add the walking around saying no pressure. But have the teacher do it. That way it feels more official.
