Is cussing in moderation good or bad? I feel it's good if used right. It can add intelligent emphasis into a discussion. Thoughts?

Pretty much. The use of our beloved curse words do not make or break your intelligence level. Unless that's all you are saying. Most of the time the rest of the words surrounding said words will be huge deciding factor. When snobbish people imply that only the uneducated use curse words to prove a point, they typically have nothing else to say on return. Or, their just jaded and naive. Or the person cussing 😨 had a valid point of view😱.

People say thatnthe use of cuss words shows a lack of appropriate vocabulary.

I say it's actually quite the opposite. It surely shows that the user embraces the words to show a larger use of vocabulary.

Cuss words are fantastic to use in descriptive terms.

I think if someone chooses to use cuss words sparingly, they carry a lot more weight when they are used. Supposedly there are a couple verses in the new testament that Paul uses the Greek equivalent of shit, i.e. I count all these things as loss/dung/shit

Very interesting. I agree used sparingly. Excessive use makes someone seem unintelligent. In sparing use with more complex vocabulary I feel it can enhance an intelligent feeling to someone's words

I use them sparingly to make a point or use them as a show of social commentary in my thoughts. My mind however cusses endlessly

I censor myself on here tbh. I curse like a drunken sailor in RL. Is that something to brag about or be proud of? Probably not. But I'm a fan of swearing. Besides, Fuck is one of the most under appreciated words in the English language. It's so diverse. One of the only words that can be used in all ways. Noun/verb etc.
