I'm not very good with this subject. I just ignored it was happening when I experienced it...
All I'm gonna say is that in 1960, the overall 5-year survival rate for all leukemias was about 14%. It is now about 50%.
We have improved massively over the years! I'm sure everything is going to be fine! :) -
They told us the rate was 80%... But I'm focusing on 100%

Oh this is so heartbreaking to read. My thoughts as a parent are with you guys

I can't reccomend Motts children hospital in A2 enough. When my youngest was suffering from seizures they were fantastic
-
I believe everybody else has said anything I could possibly say.
I also know there's nothing I could say to make you feel better right now...But I'm going to send you my best wishes and I called and asked my mom to have her church pray for your family ✌
Have Hope ✌ -

My data is most likely out of date or I'm looking at the wrong type. The point I'm trying to make is that we have improved massively over the years. She'll be just fine!

My mom has leukemia. She was diagnosed in the early 90's and started taking chemo in the late 90's. They decided to give her a more powerful kind in the early 00's since hers wasn't working anymore. It almost killed her. She gat insanely sick and was in the hospital for a month and put of work, recovering, for at least a year. She just about died in 2003 when I was in high school. Those were some pretty rocky years since it was just us two. Good part is that she's been in full remission for the last 9ish years.

My step daughter was just diagnosed with it.
She came in here for a relatively minor surgery to repair a valve in a kidney, supposed to be a max 2 day recovery...she started getting complications , infection, low white blood cell count.
Today after 9 days here in the hospital we just got told she has leukemia ... I am shocked , stunned and numb and hope I can be as strong as my wife needs me to be for herSherry here...i will message you. Grace, comfort and hugs

It's a terrible disease where the bone marrow produces too much dysfunctional white blood cells, this causes the body to have trouble fighting small infections or to attack the body itself.
It's a really awful thing for not only a child to go through but also for loved ones around the child, I would know.
We'll be praying for you, and good luck.
-
That is so awful... Just have hope man you will be fine... I pray for you.

Cancer is a terrible thing
You wish it would go away in a ping
But tell your daughter your love for her is so intense
And people's body doesn't have enough defense
Tell her you love her everyday
I hate cancer, I have to say
Hopefully you are her life saving rope
All people in turf wars send our hope...

So, today was a really had day following chemo. She had been vomiting all day and has battled high temps today maxing at 104.9! This is so scary. It helps to know that people are thinking of us! Thanks again
