On Sunday I am going to the beach with some friends, and will drive by John Wayne airport, which means I can get turf on an airport to fly somewhere. Where do you recommend I fly to??

Yes it is. It doesn't make sense considering lax isn't all that far from it. But it's a supported airport.

One of my friends went to Denver and was IMMEDIATELY capped, so I want a place outside california that won't give me the same fate
