Terrorism

Im doing a topic in modern studies about "Terrorism." during the course of this topic I has changed my views on terrorism and terrorsist, I come from a country named Scotland in the united kingdom, some time in the 1600's the English ruler king Edward wanted to be the ruler of Scotland but a man named William Walace would not let him and fought and killed many English people to keep Scotland independent, English people saw him as a terrorist but us in Scotland see him as a hero and a freedom fighter, the men who done 9/11 for example Americans see them as terrorists and terrible people, people from there religion see them as Heros, terrorism is carried out by people wanting a political change and I also wanted to say that i was reading a post saying something like "The terrorist team can buy cheaper Ak47's" BUT that's stereotypical! Terrorists aren't all the same religion there are American terrorists, British terrorists and European terrorists, that's what I learned
-
I'm not taking sides or trying to offend anyone but I wanted to say what I have learned through the course of this topic and how my thoughts have changed on terrorism. Not all countries see terrorists as heroes of course, the country thy Bin Ladin comes from dislikes him.
-
Well technically, since terrorism is using terror or violence to achieve a political goal, so all war is terrorism
-
IMO they're still killing innocent people. Thus, their arguments lose 99.9% of their validity in my mind. An idea that provokes killing innocent people can not be one worth listening to.
-
I think that killing innocent people is the worst part of it, infact it is all bad.
-
"the men who done 9/11 for example Americans see them as terrorists and terrible people, people from there religion see them as Heros"
Are you saying that all Muslims think that the 9/11 was a good thing. I'm a Muslim and I don't agree with terrorism. -
I come from a country called the USA and anyone besides 90% of our population would consider our means of expansion terrorism. In fact I believe that the correct term is genocide
-
FREEEEDDOOOOMMM!
Sorry, I saw William Wallace and I just had to do it.But anyhow, like tattoo said, I wouldn't clump terrorists with any religion.
-
Was it not in the 1300's that Wallace fought the English.
-
Nonono, you guys picked it up wrong I didn't mean that all terrorists are one religion I am trying to say that they are NOT! The people that wanted the same political change as the 9/11 bombers see them as more of a hero not all sorry I never meant it that way!

I personally don't think that the guys that they said did the 9/11 was true. I think that bush set up him self. Think about it, if you where a pilot would crash a plane in to a building because someone is threatening to kill or would you let the guy just kill you. Your going to die anyway even when you crash the plane in to the building.

@The religion & terrorism link-
Eric Robert Rudolph was a Christian terrorist. Terrorists come from all kinds of backgrounds. -
William Wallace was different. He was fightijg actual soldiers of an occupying country. 9-11 was done on innocent citizens of a non occupying country.

Lol george washington was the 1st president abe lincoln was the one who fought the civil warif im not wrong abraham lincon of america was a terrorist according to the British when the war was going on after independence he was a hero and ofcourse became first president. one should realise that few political people turn it around for their own interest and gains. to fully understand the situation first on must check the source and the proofs to pass judgements regarding terrorist or any other worldy situations. its easy to set ur mind and consider ppl or set of religion/regions as terrorist if youve already let the media decide that and you just buy it. personally i get fed up from this guy to that guy and this country to that country.
-
Guys. There's a big difference between fighting enemy armies for ones freedom and bombing innocent civilians of a country just because they aren't part of your religion

Also the British called George Washington a rebel and insurrectionist. Not a terrorist. You have to start attacking civilians for that deffinition
