So, I came very close to buying a mac last week. I was about to drop 3400+tax on it. Then I took a glance at the new Dell Studio 17... and that's what I got instead. I gotta say, this thing is the shit! I was able to custom build a much faster computer, for half the price. But my favorite feature is the 17.3in multi-touch HD screen. So now it functions just like my iPhone, or iPad, but still has a full backlit keyboard.

If anyone is thinking of getting a new computer and don't plan to get a Mac, I highly recomend checking this one out. The 17.3 is a bit heavy though.... "Heavy is good. It's a sign of reliability. And if it doesn't work, you can always hit him with it."
