I was working on my eagle scout project today and wondered if there were any eagle scouts that played TW. Anyone? What was your project?
-
I made it 2 levels into cub scouts...
-
I was a tenderfoot
-
Made it to Star... Congrats on your journey and soon to be accomplishment! it's a good thing.
-
Life. Had everything except the project done. Regret not finishing it often (like right now). Congrats!
-
I joined were I live but the troop didn't really do anything and when they did it seemed like nobody wanted to be their so I left

Got mine three years ago on June 4th, 2009. I did a $15,000-20,000 landscaping project. I finished before my freshman year of high school ended. It was really cool because the day that I finished was my grandpa's 10 year anniversary since he passed away from a heart attack while working at his landscaping company, and my grandma (his wife), my mom and two uncles (all three their children) were there working on it with me.

I hear that a lot. That's part of the reason why I decided to stick it out and finish it. Don't want to regret it in the future.Sgt.420 wrote:

Wow that is really cool. Congratulations on finishing it. I wish I could say I was doing something cool like that, but I'm just making a few benches and a walkway for a local organization.Got mine three years ago on June 4th, 2009. I know exactly what you mean. The leaders are such power hungry assholes. Not to mention, complete idiots. The only reason I'm still in it is to get my eagle scout then I'm done for good.I'm sorry but I tried boy scouts and all I found was an organization of neo-conservative, bible fucking, bigots
-
I'm a 🌃 scout, and btw, my scout leader is a democrat 😜😜 not a conservative 😜
-
I am. My project was fixing the roof of my parents' church. The leader we had when I was in scouts was actually really cool. The guy that replaced him was a megadouche, though.

When I was a young lil boy and in the cub scouts I got kicke out for eating a brownie

Keep pushing. Don't wait Til the last minute. My 2 boys are Eagle Scouts.
Let us know when you make it!

I made Eagle. I did a handicap compliance assessment of a major state building, complete with recommendations. This was long before ADA.

Actually the same thing happened to me that happened to add 451. I have great memories of scouting until there was a change in leadership.👾₳ÐÐ⌖451👾 wrote:
It's a shame when that happens. It's important to try doing stuff out of state because you can have more options and therefore fun! White water rafting, skiing, spelunking, hiking, water parks, etc.nicky the blade wrote:
Sorry you guys had that type of experience but when I did cub scouts and the start of boy scouts I had a hell of a time. I'll always have some pretty good memories, but then the program died outguy fawkes wrote:

Nope, I went to one meeting, looked at the assholes there and left.

Don't listen to these dumbasses get that eagle scout bro, that's somethin u can get jobs with easily.. That's a nice achievement..👍👍
-
Get the eagle! I'm getting it because it looks great on a college resume. I'm a life scout now, and I only have te project left to do. Nice accomplishment!
-
I'm an eagle scout also, keep it up cuz colleges love seeing that in applications,
-
Go eagle scouts!
-
Tore out and replaced a wooden ramp to a dock at a retirement home for my project. I have 5 brothers, we all got eagle. All my uncles on dads side, even ones that married into family, have eagle, so that's 7 more. Some leaders are a--holes, some aren't. Go to another troop if yours are.
-
I built a 16 ft bridge over a creek and cut and mulched a mile hiking trail at a park in December. Just got my eagle scout in Jan. Congrats man
-
I earned Eagle in august of 2010. Still view it as more important to me than graduating high school. I cleaned up a VFW post and collected and donated medical supplies to Haitian boy scouts during the whole crisis down there.
-
I'll be going to northern tier next year, and I went to the adirondack's last year.
