Seems everyone got a letter, we were supposed to learn more Thursday, but that appears to be being postponed to mid April. This is so the unions can go over everything in detail.
After reading the comments here, I'm thinking that redundancy may not be all that bad.
I get a lump sum to tide me over whilst I retrain and get a better job.
The UK chancellor is looking to introduce regional pay deals and will most likely leave those of us in the north on a long pay freeze until the pay scales catch up.
I have a lot to consider...

Hope it works out for you. Lots to factor in though. Under 2 yrs service might not be eligible or reduced payout!!
Getting pay off would be nice, prob 1 months salary per yr (statutory 1w py!) plus notice period, think u should get 1 month py. Plus some other add on's training, coaching, cv writing etc but limited AND only good to get the money if u have another job to go into.
U might also be put on 'garden' leave for notice period and if u get a job then r supposed to declare and could the lose some of redundancy payment. Obviously lots more to it, some will be explained through consultation.
Like I say hope it works out for best👍👍

One other thing to watch out for - less service & lower salary = cheaper to make redundant - so u against team lead u will be cheaper to get rid of 😞.

Give your gp a ring. Those new commissioning services will need your skills, no doubt. As a 'consultant', as they always get paid more for doing the same job!Seems everyone got a letter, we were supposed to learn more Thursday, but that appears to be being postponed to mid April.
