I'm a side sleeper. And stop taking the fun out of my story! 😄
That was sleep paralysis... I think.

I remember as a kid that I woke up from sleeping but I could never move. Then I saw a giant vacuum cleaner, loud as crap, move its extension hose to my face, I swear I could not breath at all. I remained as calm as possible and the machine faded away.
-
Catalepsy sucks. Feeling like you're going to die and can't call for help to someone two feet away. Ugh.
-
I have sleep paralysis. It's scarry as hell. I used to just think I was crazy until I learned there was a scientific explanation behind the madness. It runs in my family. Not fun.
-
I woke up looking at my curtains and then when I realised I couldn't move the curtains started flapping as if there was a hurricane in the room then a daemon appeared right in front of me screaming VERY loudly, I swear by the time I got myself moving I was nearly in tears... On a different note I had a dream one time when I got stabbed then in the morning when I woke up I threw up and there was blood in my vomit, I know it couldn't have been the dream that did it but it was still trippy as hell
-
Once I dreamed that I couldn't move and fuck man, did I ever struggle. No demonic shit though. It was more like a bunch of G's on my body.

Yes! I had one last night....I was in Hogwarts and my teacher was Prof. Lupin. I went to my friends house and we saw an LMFAO concert. A few minutes later my mind told me (somehow) I was lucid dreaming because I remembered the thread yesterday about the signs of one. In the instant I relaized I was dreaming, I (thought I) woke up lying on my bed. Seconds into the trance, the whole room faded black and it felt as if something large and hot gripped my chest, paralyzing me. I got scared and started tapping my fingers....that barely worked. I thought I was gonna die! I couldn't breathe or feel my heart beating. I flicked my big toe, and suddenly I jolted out of the nightmare. After that I punched myself in the face a few times. Scary shit! Thanks for tell me how to escape on your last thread!
-
I could prove I was Lucid Dreaming because in my dream I was in the exact position (when paralyzed) as I was when I woke up!

God I hope it doesn't happen tonight!

Being a narcoleptic.. This happens quite often to me.. And when you actually wake up and can't move or speak is even worse .

Sleep paralysis has nothing to do with demons....sounds like you need an exorcist...
It's purely you being in a half dream status.
Because you begin to panic from not being able to move. You lose control of your half active mind and see nightmares in the real world.
It's said that everyone has experienced it at least once in their life. But most shrug it off as a nightmare.Also... Over half of alien abductions are tracked down to just to someone who had experienced sleep paralysis.

Never had sleep paralysis. But I have lucid dreamed a few times. Most of my dreams though always involve the same thing though.
-
I always feel crushing pressure, like someone is trying to push me through my mattress and I usually hear a deep guttural moan/scream. Scary as f*ck!
-
Just bumping this thread as somebody was discussing it in another and wasn't sure what he was experiencing.
-
Most of your dreams are trying to tell you something. I dream lucidly at times but I would never say I have paralysis. Once I was falling in and out of sleep, I was extremely tired and I found myself unable to roll onto my side. I had to stop and think and make myself move. Your brain is very powerful, and is in control. There is no free will as we just act out what our brain wants us to. For the corpses and zombie dreamers I say either stop playing so many damn video games or stop watching so much dumb television. My dreams recently have included my ex wife. I am always chasing her or trying to talk to her but she never gives me the time of day. I take away from that dream that I can only chase for so long before I finally give up and move on. Dreams are pretty easy to figure out actually.

I usually wake myself up by punching the headboard, end table, and unfortunately my fiancée. I have violent dreams and tend to lash out an punch things. I've read that it may have something to do with my srs.
-
Srs? Maybe you watch a lot of violent things as well. Maybe you dreams are telling you that you have something that needs to come out like a secret lol something that is making you lash out. Just trying to help man :)

Two years ago I was sleeping in the same room as my little brother and cousin. I woke up early in the morning, but I couldn't move or talk, then I get this chill, and this person in white appears out of nowhere, I'm trying to scream and get out of bed, but I can't. As I struggle, the person says a name, a few days later, I ended up dating the that girl that the person said. Ive gotten it once and awhile. But no people in it anymore S

its a horrible thing its happened to me and the last one which was 2 weeks ago was painful like i was bein stabbed in my side
-
Fell asleep at computer during the day and *woke up* to only see myself in the house being attacked while I helplessly scream and bang on the window to try and get myself to wake up and attack them(shadow like figures) that were mercilessly stacking me while I was in a comma like state. Only to see my body ripped apart and eaten while they look out the window as if mocking me. Woke up with a fist to the monitor.
-
@fuzFTW at least you didn't wake up with your knees bleeding
-
Listen people in your dreams say your stabbed well your body in rl has its muscles moving and tensing leaving raw bleeding tense muscles so when you wake up your bodys in a dream state when u panic it's like paralysis when u are calm u barely notice it. And the demon shit I'm calling BS u just saw a cool story and made one like it.😒

I've experienced sleep paralysis and it sucks. What is worse is when I was young, I actually was running around the house with eyes open screaming yet still dreaming. I knew I was in the dream, and I knew my mom was right beside me(we ended up sitting on the living room couch). There was nothing she could do and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I could see everything in real life and everything in my dream happening at the same time, and had full control over my body.
