At one time was the sea drinkable,as in fresh?
Because I heard from a very reliable source that it's salty because of millions of years,fish,coral,whales etc have been shooting their load......your thoughts?

It's salty because of the minerals washing off the land. Was probably salty long before there was any life on the land.
