$50 can actually do halfway decent believe it or notWhat kind of POS plastic lens camera you think you can buy for $50? You'd be better off buying an argus brick on eBay and a roll of film.

If you knew a few things about cameras you wouldn't start with the megapixel rating ;)I saw a decent 12 megapixel 4x optical zoom. I know a few things about cameras too.

Get The Lost Hero and Son of Neptune by Rick RitordianI need Ideas. I have to order online and I honestly do not see that many things that interest me.
I am looking at a camera, and some mp3/4 player that is touch.
Any suggestions are appreciated 👍

Alright. The digital camera is a Polaroid right? If so it looks ok for the price. The sensor is only a ccd but that's to be expected at that price range. The zoom is actually only 3x. It has a 4x digital zoom but that's stupid. Ignore that. It has ISO of 6400 but I wouldn't trust that from a compact ccd. You're looking at useable probably up to 2-400 at most. All in all if I was using a gift card I would probably snag it. I wish they'd give the model number so I could pull in depth reviews though

Reviews I found in the camera from costumes show a high failure rate though. But most people are happy with the quality when it does work. Looking for an official review

A camera is a great thing to have, but personally I wouldn't get a point and shoot. For a hundred bucks or so you can pick up a used Nikon d40 dslr. Not a great camera, but it will run circles around all but the best point and shoots.
Take that with a grain of salt as I enjoy being able to play with different settings to get a better picture than what any automatic camera (or auto settings on a dslr) can take.
I'd do that and then get a book from B&N, but that's just me.

For the average person a dslr will take horrible pictures. You have to actually want to understand photography to get decent results from a slr. IMO the average joe shouldn't even consider a dslr as they'll probably get better results from the point and shoot. You see it time and again in amazon slr reviews. People get one and shoot on auto and wonder why their pictures are only about the quality of a point and shoot or even lower. These peope don't understand photography and don't want to. And mos of all don't understand the actual advantages of a slr. Many point and shoots these days can come very close to slr iq.
