The target is not the one who screwed you in this deal. The player that brought you into it, then folded, should be held liable. He owes you some compensation. No one else.

You went there under the terms of an alliance, if it folded then you carry on as you would normally, cap be capped or whatever. Alliance is no longer in place. If an alliance remains and a truce is called then you need to follow those terms. From what you said though the person requesting your assistance left and called a truce, seems like they just used you.... Not much of an alliance?

Lol. By bugsys deffinition no war should be fought because if one guy wants truce everyone should obey it.
-
If you seek your alliances approval to setup and take someone out then you should seek your alliances approval in accepting a truce and not take it upon oneself to make a deal after you have invested your groups time and resources to get setup.. JMO .. I would of been frustrated had it been me.

I'm a little hazy about what your exact relationship with said alliance is. I'm gathering that you aren't in it, officially, but you side with them in their conflicts?

There was a player in our alliance who kept wanting everyone to go everywhere to fight people, and right when players would get set up, at the expense of using a plane ticket and hopping, they would call a truce.I'm a little hazy about what your exact relationship with said alliance is. That player called for a fight on another player, mans some of us went. When we got set up, he left our alliance, and then called a truce, again. This was at least the third time that this had happened, but since he left our alliance before he called truce, and since we were already set up on the other player, well, he lost a lot of turf.

B, he obviously has no clue what really went on. Just let him run his course. It's kinda pathetic when someone who has no knowledge of a situation tries to give their two cents and then claim it as gospel.

Ok, so seems like the alliance itself doesn't actually have a truce if a non member called for it.
Even if the alliance goes with the truce though, DB 5000 wouldn't be held to it, as he too is not a member.
Really any non member would be a legitimate target. If the alliance wanted to go after the original target, the guy who left, or even dramabot then that's their buisness. I mean they can ask him to back down, but shouldn't expect him to obey.
-
Ok. So let me see if I can understand this. You (DQ), after weeks of not using your PT to help your crew, decide to go, and at the same time, kick said member out I your alliance for using the "R" word and you pitch a fit. Said member, now out because of your ban happy fingers, works our a peaceful end to the situation.
You, not liking it, first go crying to the forums looking for sympathy and justification for your actions.
At the end of the day, you capped the enemy you were set up on and you capped the former alliance member that you booted out in a huff.
Sounds like your precious 3 hours of setting up and your pretend money wasn't a total waste.
You got your pound of flesh. You got to pick on some 22-27k mobsters and feel pretty good about your mad mob skillz, now move on and STFU, there's an XBOX thread calling u.
-
Hmm. You've got the story pretty wrong Groucho. For one we didn't boot the alliance member. No way would we have. He left. Second off I came to the forums only after a threat md third off I would never capture any ex alliance member unless they went after me first. I haven't touched him and don't intend to
-
That helps a bunch.
You did what you set out to do. You called whom you were set up to cap. You've made it clear your position on the whole truce thing. Frankly, since it was GMan Bitch you were capping, I applaud that. 👍
Move on now though. Case closed.
-
Let's cut the hypothetical crap, here. First. A player kept wanting you to go places to fight? Sounds like Turf Wars. We do that kind of thing every two weeks. We actually do it more since we can hop. Second. R words and other infractions of the moral code. If we kicked someone out of our crew every time they made a mistake, then a) they'd never learn anything and, b) we'd have no crew. Third. Given the number of targets we currently have it was me--Ultra, U-L-T-R-A--who wanted the truce with GMan. So if you have a problem with it you may now bitch at me.
-
Thing is, B, what you really did was cap GMan and then message your ex member and tell him you "weren't supposed to do it but you had a 'present' for him."
Points for style. 💋
-
So... What I see here... Ultra says she wanted the truce with gman... So that means its completely unrelated to GZ, like mentioned previously, and Belial was not involved in it right? So what's the issue here then?
-
I agree with you B. Don't know who your talking about specifically on either side (didn't read most of the thread) but this is one of those rare occasions that I agree with you. PM me, I've got your back bud. Let's go fuck shit up.
-
B, I recently had the exact same thing happen. I went ahead and abided by the truce. Even though I was bummed about the work I had put in, I feel you are totally within the right to recap your losses. I would tell said alliance that they can either compensate you or you can seek restitution on your own.....seems only fair if THEY asked you for help....
