Idk. It was my understanding that a warrant was needed but idk all the details and I could be wrong. Also, as I'm aware no warrant is needed due to national safety. Per the NDAA of 2012. Am I mistaken?

NDAA and SOPA are not unprecedented bills. During WWII we had Japanese internment camps and rationing. During Vietnam we had the draft. Now we have NDAA. The next war we fight we will have something else. The government sees a potential threat to the nation as a whole (Japanese spies, communism, terrorism) and restricts freedoms with the hope that it will save more lives than it will cost. I'm not saying it's right, but they aren't trying to turn us into a totalitarian state.

Agreed, but why refer to protestors as terrorists? And if we must give up our rights as ameicans for the betterment of the country, I'd rather move abroad. More definitive laws could prevent this, our current laws/bills/acts are just too broad.NDAA and SOPA are not unprecedented bills. During WWII we had Japanese internment camps and rationing. Given the right circumstances, I would consider some protestors to be terrorists too. It's up to the (often flawed) judgement of law enforcement. A peaceful protest can turn into a full scale riot quickly, so I'm sure being a cop at a protest is pretty stressful. I agree that our laws aren't the best to protects us, but our bipartisan system of government prevents us from doing things efficiently, and the rediculous need for political correctness (you can't pull a Arabic guy aside at an airport without pulling everyone else aside, because it's racial profiling, even though we're at war with an Arabic terrorist org, and all other Americans) makes security difficult. I think the government, as a whole, needs a total overhaul.
