So iv got an issue.gloss paint on my leather and Fabric mix sofa. It's had time to dry solid is my sofa fu**d or can it still be removed my insurer is sending someone out to clean it in a weeks time! Will they be able to fix it or is this just a waste of time ?

I'm pretty sure it's safe bud. They can fix up leather pretty well. Even if they need to cut out a patch of fabric they can match up superbly. Think of it a little like what a french polisher can do with a piece of wooden furniture.
It's pretty sweet how well they can blend it. 😊

Ok it's been there a month d u think they will just cut up my sofa and try and match a patch ?

I should imagine that'll be the best bet mate but honestly... I've seen it done. My mother managed to slice a hole in the arm of her leather sofa. About 3-4 inches long. A guy came out, matched up the colour from a kind of sample book thing you see in the shops.Ok it's been there a month d u think they will just cut up my sofa and try and match a patch ?
He basically patched it up. It really is pretty amazing what they can do. Once the new piece aged a little you can't even tell.
Worst case scenario the can completely remove the damaged piece and re-upholster it.
Throw a google search for it. 👍

If its enamel paint, you're pretty much fucked. You might be able to scrape some off, but it won't be everything.

Call a cleaner or try to find a chemical called liquid dry cleaner. It may work use to clean carpets and couches. That's what I would try first.

👎👎👎 it's not a case of cleaning the affected area, it's a case of fixing it. To say it's fucked is bad advice lolIf its enamel paint, you're pretty much fucked. You might be able to scrape some off, but it won't be everything.

Well with it being oil based and the length of time it's been there I think my insurance if they can't clean / fix it will have to replace it right ?
