The British police want to be able to use these for crowd control in "serious" situations. But I think it's giving them the go ahead to use them on any protesters and in any situation ! Innocent people will get harmed ! Recently I've seen police running at crowds of people with battons and hitting men and women and smashing people's phones ect if they had gas cannons and bullets who knows who might get hurt ! What are your opinions ?

Drop the bullets, keep the cannons.
Just my opinion. I've never liked rubber bullets.

They been using stuff like that for the last 50 years in northern Ireland which is part of the uk

I've been shot by a baton round (rubber bullet) during riot training. It hurts but it's needed in certain situations. The people that are trained and authorised in its use aren't stupid and chose their targets carefully. Riots get out of hand an innocents can be hurt and killed. Better to nip te trouble makers in te bud for the greater good.

They haven't used rubber bullets since the 70's due to the ricochet effect that could cause death, 14 people were killed which included 9 children in N.ireland they fire plastic rounds now which are still deadly if fired at close range and hit your head or torso.
