Some people don't realize you need to open the application first before enabling the actual keyboard. Or if you're jailbroken just download an emoki enabled. 100p times easier.

Has anyone confirmed it works with iPad? The iPad has it's own firmware so it may not work correctly, the way it adds the keyboard isn't a standard thing.

You must first enable the Japanese keyboard then when typing, click the globe. A bar appears above keyboard, type "emoji" and you can chose from a limited variety of emojis ✌😼✌

No luck? I dl'd the old emoji free app I used on iPod, maybe that's why it works for me?
