Calling all players. Opinion needed.

I think that some players stay extremely low level, low mob for a reason. If you have a low level, low mob and are always in wars and vendetta's then you are exploiting the tos. Anybody that has played for any amount of time would be foolish not to add a player with 300 mob to their vendetta. It increases capture range, for anybody that is not in the know. If a player has been forced to reset b/c they violated tos and chooses to continue to actively take part in wars/ vendettas they are not fooling anybody with their motives. The views and opinions in the above post are just my humble opinion. Happy Turfing!✌

Wow!! 4k Hench... For FREE?! I'll take some of that sugar! 👍✊

IMO, the fact Vadan found a tad Of a loophole shouldn't get him punished, for he technically didn't break any rules. But, if nick doesn't want low mobs to be used like this he should change the TOS or coding to fix it. Hence, Vadan wasn't punished, he just temporarily fixed the problem until he can fix the coding or TOS. I think nick came up with a clever way of remedying the situation, but IMO Vadan should get to keep the henchmen as a reward for bringing forward this "loophole."

The game is less balanced now than before. We had "exploiters" (and I am using the word carefully) use small mobs before, with the 10%rule, now with the mob-based range .. Or range based on influence ... Players always play it to their advantage (I used to drop my influence deliberately when fighting campaigns - it is like a fighter trimming weight before a match) whatever the rules are.If the rules do not stipulate this then it should be allowed.
The need to protect newbies is an important one, and it has always been abused by groups of players to tactical advantage.
What happens when a player can spam an area with 500 turf, blocking anyone else from planting and the cap limit stops them from clearing said spamming player?
What about when players buy henchmen, stats or stamina? They are looking for an advantage over others. What keeps the balance for players that choose not to buy DPs?

Nick, if you give me 4k hench, I promise that belial will never hit the feedback button again.

I don't see low mob as an exploit. It's a strategy to give players the ability to take out the likes of havoc or Mickey Dunn.

Can I have 4k henchmen too?

Also just raw opinion but 4k is a bit extreme. It creates a huge range and makes fighting very hard

Vandan exploited a hole in the game and that is fine, nick chose to attempt to close that hole which is also fine. This is not the first time for any of this. So many folks have worked so hard to gain large mobs and perhaps spent some money doing so that it may not be in nicks best intreast or the game as we know it to allow that to go to waste. It all makes the game more intreasting and as OTB said "Fun!"

As fluke said above you need a game balance to prevent people from just buying their way through a war. Belial has also stated this for a few weeks now to in various forms.
I am assuming that when the game was smaller not a lot of £££££ was required to max out on hench, etc as the mobs were small meaning the game was more accessible to more players.
Credit to v for bringing the issue forward especially if it helps the game develop for the better 👍

Well. You don't have to get a job to do well in RL. It just helps. We all know, the community has always encouraged players to mob up.
But what happens when a player doesn't want to mob up?
I mean, where in the game TOS does it say we have to up or we're violating a TOS?
Or where does it state we may be forcefully mobbed up against our choice?
Where's the line between us playing a game and the devs playing us?
I'm not seeing the line...

It's brilliant, I hope it's done to all low influence players clearly using it to there advantage so it's fair anyway.

Vadan is (was) leveraging low mob to remain untouchable. He could cap big guys at will and no one could stop it. This was not an intended effect in the game and considered an unfair exploit.
Other low mob players are not doing this.
My guess is that Nick bumped his mob up as a temporary fix to stop his unfair gameplay. And I'm guessing he might be working on a coding tweak to fix this, but that takes time to roll out.

This is only partially true, and I am sure that you know it. Sure, he could set up on bigger players all day long without penalty, but there are daily cap limits, and range averaging in vendettas. As someone who creats and sells software for a living, I find this odd and disappointing. The devs should update the code through a patch if they don't like the game's behavior. Manipulating users to overcome a gap due to an outlier case is lazy and in my mind unethical. The rules are the rules and if Vadan, or anyone else, is smart enough to fully understand them and their advantages - then hats off to them.nick wrote:
Really Nick? So let me get this straight. After my reset, I decided I do not want to mob. So I played with low mob, this morning you suddenly decide that out the kindness of your heart you will give me 4k (four thousand) henchmen for FREE. No doubt, this is an effort to force me to mob when I don't want to.Vadan's a trifle miffed that we took the wind out of his sails on his grand exploit plan.

Funny how any 'strategy' used is deemed wrong only when things heat up cuz a player/s used it too 'much'. Yet the game is considered fine.
The game belongs to the developer & it's their right to do what they want. The politically correct tone has always been that if one is not happy, it should not be publicized. And we have the right to also leave the game (incl. not financially support) which many vets & good players have. No ill feelings I am sure.
Just feel sorry for the players affected and how service is given. What's important is as what Zoom has said above. Don't lose that perspective of having fun. The resulting action will show what one chooses. Happy turfing!

I agree with the Canuck where's my 4k in Hench? Can we get brens with them too?

Yeah. I changed my mind. I don't want 4k hench. I want 4k Bren. If I get it, then I promise that solar flares won't mess up anything in this game. Ever.
