Definently fallout, the smallest things can change the whole game, and they put way better back stories and time into the people and missions, but don't get me wrong the elder scrolls are great but second rate compared to fallout

I like Fallout because factions and stuff are really cool but I find Skyrim's quests are beast.

Skyrim. Fallout is awesome and revolutionized massive open world IMO, but I dislike the fights in fallout. It was a hard decision. Good question!

Fallout, because in the original you can totally beat the crap out of anyone if you play right easily. Put all points into gambling, play lotto for hour, have unlimited cash. Beat game. And it's just so free. And you get to punch people's brains out while in a classroom in three.
