I had a turf taken by another player who formally owned it (days earlier). What happened was he captured a nearby turf owned by me and then immediately used it to attack and capture the additional turf even though he had only controlled the nearby turf he was attacking from for a few minutes.

I thought you had to control a turf for at least 24 hours before you could launch an attack from it. I'm sure he has no closer turfs he could of attacked it from.

A bug?

Honestly, he really didn't. He had four turfs total in the city and I knew where each one was. But thanks, that backs up my theory that it may of been a bug. For a minute there I thought there was some rule I wasn't aware of that let you attack turf regardless if you were the creator or there was a loot item that made such a thing possible.

I had someone attack my turf yet when I looked them up they were too far away for me to attack. Some guys were spoofing the GPS but I'm not sure if that explains our examples.

If he was able to capture that turf...
Check your fights, see which turf e used to attack you with.
You sure it was the same turf?

Buster - I just tested that situation and it works like its supposed to. I was out of range to cap turf X. I capped a nearby turf Y. Then checked turf X again and it said I hadn't controlled Y for 24 hours.

He can attack you with that turf but he cannot cap you unless there is a turf in range that has been there 24 hours.

Yeah there's a difference between attacking and capping. The range to attack a turf is the same range you can attack a player, I believe.

That brings up a problem I have with the app...it only keeps so many fights in the log. So the turf in question is no longer in my fights log. This player once attacked me 500 times in the space of a few hours and I could only see the last few turfs he had attacked in the log.

Since I can't verify it with the log I guess I have to admit it is possible he attacked it from some other turf but the only other turf in view doesn't look at all close enough to attack. Maybe he had one he demolished that I somehow didn't notice. Thanks for the replies!

U probably didn't see he probably has a little 1 inf turf in the middle of you picket of turfs. And from that on spot, blamo he hits you.
