Well apparently TW has zero welders
-
Well, you're here, so TW has at least one!

I can a little bit. Still looks like bird crap sometimes. My brother does really good work and is learning to tig at work. So he will be the one doing the frame on my hot rod :)
-
Took it in high school and in college but never got into the industry still do it for fun though really comes in handy but equipment is expensive
-
Very hard work!

Had to learn how to mig sobi could weld patch panels into cars, I restore them as a hobby. But one of these days I'd like to learn how to tig although I doubt it could be much different

When I grow up, I wanna be that guy who holds the slow/stop sign during construction on roads. It's just a little dream of mine.

The only way to make real money welding is to rig out a truck and go pipeline welding. Hard dirty work but my brother makes $65 an hour plus per diem. U have to buy ur own rods and gas but it's still really good money. Figure $20 an hour to run ur machine so ur making about $45 an hour.

Glad I don't weld anymore. Switched to crane mechanic. Making more now than welding, but I didn't have my own truck rigged out.

Yea that's true but the rate is waaaay low for the past 6 years the patch here has been at least 95 an hour full supply and in camp get all free food and rates go up to 120 an hour sometimes:) man do I love seeing 6 or 7k every payday:) not to mention you go contracting and establish a company then the write offs are ridiculous, ex: take a trip anywhere around the world stop at a welding or fab shop and get a card, the whole trip is a right off at the end of the year. Damn do I ever love my jobThe only way to make real money welding is to rig out a truck and go pipeline welding. Hard dirty work but my brother makes $65 an hour plus per diem. A d 20 bucks will get your welder through a full day if you've got a little ranger 305, but with say a vantage 300d you could get a day and a quarter out of 20 bucks, the machines themselves are cheap to run its the bevelers you don't wanna buy😖

I can tig and mig weld.
-
I do metal and jewelry smithing
-
I'm a welder, went to school for it for 4 years and have been welding since I was out of high school,

-
Ah I see lol I was gonna say four years??? It's only a 3 year course lol in Alberta anyways
-
I know how to. I had to weld some parts for my racecar a while back, but it's been a while.
