KONY 2012!
-
Invisible Children is a fraud!
-
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's probably a fake charity scam to help victims of a war which ended three years ago.

I'm not going to get involved in this discussion. Pisses me off (guess I just did)

So is this bull! Ha what the hell are we going to do about it??? Higher a militia to go kill him? In pretty sure we have enough to deal with right now. If we were in Africa and in his neighborhood then that would be diffrent but we arn't! We can't just send the millitary down there so what can we do?! Right nothing! Lets wiry about the united states (or the country you live in) and worry about the countries debt that Obama added! The I don't know 7 trillion he added!! And almost doubled the debt in 3 years in the same about of time it took for the last 200 years!

No.. I have friends who've been involved with this cause for several months if not longer. They just moved to San Diego in November from Minnesota for the weather and for Invisible Children. They are some of the best people I know.Invisible Children is a fraud!
Tonight I went to the IC office & volunteered packing action kits.

I am in no way defending Kony. I have just read a report though on concerns about invisible children. That the money primarily goes to salaries, films to raise further money and the military which are known for committing human atrocities including killing civilians in a peaceful protest. So before you donate be sure to investigate invisible children first.

Your stupid…that's how charities work. The salaries people are paid are minimalistic and they don't work any other job. The percent of the dollar given to aid is 39% and Susan g coleman is only 23% but I don't see anybody bashing that charity?I am in no way defending Kony. AIDS and other diseases are going to make the African continent go dark in the next 50 years. Strangely, I think this is why much of the world doesn't pay much attention to war crimes and atrocities committed there. Kinda like writing them off so to speak.

I agree with hyena, research first.

It is a great cause but it pisses me off because it takes a slightly appealing and touching story for people to realize what is going on in the world. I did a report on high school about African genocide and in my report I included Kony and the countless acts he has committed. Did my teacher or my classmates remember that the next day? Doubt it. If one were to read foreign news, read books and even watch tv specials once in awhile, one would know the horrible things that goes on in this world. The Right Hand wrote:

It pisses or off that people are tweeting "stop kony" when they are the same bandwagon hopping people who want to belong to some cause just because everyone around them is like a trend, not because they really support the cause or really care. That is why I'm pissed off. But then again there are people who understand what I'm saying and hopefully I'm not alone when I say that this kind of thing has been going on for years and will continue to go on for years. I will do what's best for me, my family and my community and I will live knowing I did well

I get where our coming from but how do you think word spreads? New people learning about what's happening. A movement has to start somewhere. I mean we could have just let hitler go about his business and worry about ourselves, but we didn't. Now this guy is doing about the same but it's not mainstream because it isnt covered in the news, an that's what the whole kony 2012 is trying to do, make this guy famous so people are aware and demand something be done. We have people over there now training the military but to say its a bandwagon is kinda dumb. Not everyone is going to research every war criminal and then start a movement, but when someone spreads a video on social networking sites about something they believe is wrong it spreads and people will jump on the "bandwagon" to bring awareness to the problem.

All I see is a YouTube video trying to instigate free advertising for a possibly corrupt charity that has an ultimate goal of killing 30,000 child militia for the chance to kill one man. It dosent matter what this charity does the corrupt government probably isn't going to try and take the children in his militia alive.

For every dollar you donate only 2 cents goes to the cause the rest goes to advertisement and salaries last year the main 3 producer gave them selfs a $100,000 salary

Maybe but I think it comes down to what gets the attention of the short attentioned spanned mass. A special on an educational channel or rapper P-diddy tweeting his 6 million followers about kony. The amount of power celebrities have is complete and utter insane. Maybe that is what it takes to get te job done but I still think it shouldn't be like that. As far as hitler, everyone knew what was going on and chose not to do anything about it. He could have been stopped multiple times but instead gave him a slap on the wrist each advance he made. As far as our military training people, sheesh, we trained afghan resistance to stop the spread of communism, look what that got us. Same tactics being used to kill our troops now. When one falls another will rise. The way the world woksI get where our coming from but how do you think word spreads?....

I believe if your really about this Kony thing and are trying to help out respect. But if your just putting this in your mouth with no real intentions of doing anything than just to be in some sort of fad that's just disgusting.
