What is your opinion? I think our country needs to send at least a small # of troops in to capture him so our countries gov't can do something out of the good of our hearts not for any political or economical reason

spread the video!

Well if you would have watched invisable children, our government has tried to get successful peace talks with kony and the president of uganda(correct me if im wrong)

The kony lieing about peace is true he backed out of peace treatys numerous times. But the other part i dont know. But their was about 2-3 big camp outs with over 10 thousand people in front of the white house to get them to start helping out with the situation in africa

I haven't watched the video, but if it's about the Lord's Resistance Army dude, the US already has a team of military advisors in country attempting to train the Ugandan military.

The Uganda military needs the technology and training to use the technology, not US troops on the frontlines. I don't think our troops will ever be on the frontlines there. I do support the cause to keep the advisors there while we train them with the technology they need to track kony though.

Funny how all the random/troll threads get replys every minute but the thread that needs to be seen the most and talked about is pages behind

I just watch it.
I don't understand why so many people haven't heard about it.
Why do people do things like that? -
Forget about trying to arrest him, just send a few Tomahawk cruise missiles his way. I've heard they're pretty effective 😉

I recommend you guys read this first before you guys jump to conclusions right away. I mean the Kony thing is good but there is something shady about it. http://wesleying.org/2012/03/07/before-you-repost-kony-2012/

Have you read any of the controversy against that movement? It sounds good, and after 27 minutes, it's making you feel all fuzzy, but you're forgetting about some things. The statistics in this movie are outdated, some are true, but exaggerated. All your donations are spent on Advertising, instead of the money going directly to the SCHOOLS in Uganda. You could go buy a shirt, or put a poster up on your local library that support military intervention OR you can donate to schools in Africa, instead of trying to catch "The Big Bad Wolf that eats children". Seriously do some research on the movement.
Haven't you learned anything from the past? America's militaristic interventions never end well..... -
@Fat Raymond Exactly what I was thinking, how would some random organization that isn't even big and is known for not being well trusted just suddenly gain all of this support and attention by a bunch of people who weren't even aware of this situation before? Why not just donate to one of the bigger and well trusted organizations that are already working to help there?

But I have to give credit to the director of the movie, who is amazing in the art of Propoganda movies!
You have the little blue-eyed American 7 year-old, and his heroic father, who promise the poor children of Uganda to capture the Villain! So later the America, tge shining knights in armor, swoop in to save the day!
I want Konya captured, just like any other Dictator in this world! But I don't think a fundraiser is appropriate...For schools, famine, etc., but not capturing Mass Murderers... -

My point exactly! There's bigger problems than Kony in the world, capturing him won't fix all our problems...Fat Raymond wrote:

So many worse injustices in the world closer to home. IE Mexican Drug Cartels, North Korean Slave Camp in Russia, Liberia (The entire country).

When will the west learn arming these people is never the solution. We have armed several countries in the past only to fight wars with them five year later.
We also need to stop helping countries that don't help themselves. I don't know all the details of this situation buy if you take India as an example we send millions in aid so they can have water in rural villages yet they invest billions into a space program.
It's about time the west looked closer at the problems at home rather than trying to save the world.
Too many African countries are corrupt and too often the aid falls into the wrong hands. -
Koney 2012 is really out of date...Koney isn't a huge problem to uganda anymore..The Ugandan army has pushed him back into the forests of congo where he is starving and ineffective.

You're better of donating to charities, like UNICEF, which actually helps children.
