U went to the part of Mexico that has all that native Aztec stuff and the guide said it didn't even end on the 21 it was either the 22 or 23 and the rest was Damm Hollywood producers. You know who u are 👎

Um....yea....it's pretty much common knowledge that it's not the 21st....

The real question is, did you go to the MAYAN ruins and asked the guides there?

They say it's an end to an era not life. There is also people saying when the calendar was made they didn't have leap year so based off the calendar it would have happened years ago.

We only have a couple codecs left from the Mayans. Really not possible to know what they meant about anything. That said. Regardless I don't believe the Mayans had greater knowledge than modern man. Ancient wisdom is great fantasy. But not reality

It's not even how many people interpret it. "the world as we know it will end" not "oh fuck the worlds gonna end, apocolpyse, we're all gonna be extinct".
Many believe its the end of an era, calendar cycle, and the beginning of a new. A cleansing process for humanity.

Caesar invented leap day in 23bc so with all those extra days the world should have ended 7 months ago what now!!!

In Hinduism, the universe begins in the Satya Yuga and ends in the Kali Yuga. There are total four Yugas. And the cycle – creation and destruction – is repeated.
Satya Yuga lasts for 1,728,000. Treta Yuga lasts for 1,296,000. Dwapara Yuga lasts for 864,000 and Kali Yuga for 432,000.
It is widely believed that Kali Yuga began in 3102 B.C.
- but it don't mean complete destruction of humanity. Put it this way, when solar maximum peaks at the end of the year, there's a chance we could be hit by a solar flare, to what extent we don't know, but the world as we know it would change.
Some scientists also speculate the sudden change of electromagnetic radiation could trigger some kind of evolution with our brain, I dunno about that, but we could be facing obstacles when it comes to the tech we rely on.
-
Solar flare could wipe out the satellites so the brains say and if it's big enough it could wipe out all tech and put us back to stone age

Good grief.
They didn't use a calendar that counted days as much as one that counted celestial alignments.
Get out of the pool.

The Mayans did not follow the leap year calendar, which would make today July 2013, and the world should have ended 7 months ago

They will if we're hit and pacemakers, hearing aids, hospital equipment stop working. It's not about your bloody sat nav or studying from Wikipedia. It's technology we depend on to help and save lives that could be affected.
Ignorance is not bliss, it's stupidity.

That's what I was trying to say but failed if a big enough flare comes off the sun it could wipe out everything with a computer chip in car truck boats you name it sorry I wasnt so good at explaining myself😳

At the end of the gregorian calendar (the calendar we use) what happens? We party so nothing is going to happen

You don't know what you are talking about, so why do you say anything?
Leap year comes about because there is roughly one quarter day extra in each year that a calendar using 24 hour days and 365 days per year will miss.
The Mayans were counting the time between solar alignments with the galactic center.
A leap "year" for this measurement would happen more like every 20,000 years.
-
The aztecs gave up carving in stone calanders when they found a better way to write it down.

Sit down and shut up.did u know that the Mayan calendar didn't account for leap years because it was made before the leap day was created. so if we didn't have leap days today would be July 29, 2013 and this apocalypse would have happened 7 months ago
