A huge part of the government spending problem is welfare!! I'm sorry but if you cannot afford to raise ONE child...why the f$*# are you allowed to have more children and your monthly check increases?!?!

Yeah, it's not so much an incentive to keep the business in the country but to keep the cash in the country! 😉
Start passing laws that if they remove their cash from the country their citizenship is revoked and all remaining assets in the country are seized. Seriously dot act like we owe the one percent anyways. They owe us!

Unrealistic debate the rich have the money thus the most influence. Of course the poor outnumber the rich, our power is in our numbers. Like everything else were in a cycle. If we have a revolution, the cycle will just begin again. Whoever ends up in power will eventually cave in to greed and corruption. Mankind is unfit to govern himself, that is just one reason why need God.

It's not my obligation as a citizen to help the government. The only job of the government should be to provide that which I cannot provide for myself. That would be national defense, roads and such. The states should be more in control of the rest. The farther a dollar travels the more it shrinks. By the time my dollar reaches DC it is shrunk by 30%. And then it has to travel back, shrinking it by another 30%. If our money was used locally it would be more efficient.

Actually the government is controlled by you. You elect representatives for congress and you elect the present so in essence it is your job to help the government. Also if you read the constitution it is not directly said but it mentions that you should shape your government if it starts going downhill. If you don't shape it you'll end up like Nazi Germany.

What about other costs? Shipping for instance? Labor is but a portion. We have tax shelters for foreign production

This is a point I touched on in another comment.

Even with the added cost of shipping the Overall cost of offshore production is far less.

There are tons of other factors but one thing which will always far outweigh the rest is labour.

If western countries scrapped the minimum wage then that would be a different matter. It quite possibly would kill the need to produce overseas. How many more cans of worms would that open up though?

I neither agree nor disagree, all I'm trying to do is look at the bigger picture. There is no simple way to argue the for or against in such matters, unless you discredit the full story.
