Need quick car help
Forums › General Discussion › Need quick car help-
Yes, this is a stupid thread, but I'm running out of options. And I've googled my life away, to no end.
Anyway, I have a 2000 Eclipse and it has a bad crankshaft sensor. The crankshaft sensor has caused a no start, and I've been sitting in this parking garage for 3 hours. I have a new sensor, but I don't have the tools to replace it with me.
My question. Is there anything I can do to get the car to start?

Call AAA, and tow it to a mechanic.

Is it a manual transmission?

Do u happen to have a 2.3k ohm resistor in ur pocket? It's looking for resistance.

You should send it to the ER

Try to unplug the sensor wire if you can. Try to start see what happens. If it does not them try to just plug the new sensor in the wire and see if if starts up. Again these are jus ideas and not taking no responsibility. My best bet will be get it towed to where you can get it fixed.
