If apple stopped production of iphone 3G. And what happens if ur iphone 3G has problems will apple switch it out for a 3GS

They probably have and endless supply of 3g phones. You can still buy them from at&t. You never get a new phone as a replacement. You will get a refurb. And if they don't have your phone, they charge you the difference.

Well att is having a close out on the iphone 3G so i wonder if apple just stopped making them

I got a new one when a had a hardware issue.

I just got a new 3G (yes, in total, my 3rd 3g in a year) 2 months ago.

I'm on a first gen refurb jailbroken/unlocked iPhone from April of 08. Invisishield is the shit. Narry a ding or scratch on it in all that time.

so does that mean that apple will now replace all 3G iphones that have a problem with a 3GS if that is so then that is awsome

No. That just means the buying new ones are unavailable. They probably have a shitload of old ones that they are refurbing.

But who knows...you might get lucky.

Well i just got mine so ill wait till next year and hopefully get the iphone 4 upgrade

uhmmm I know a friend who works at AT&T retail store an they still carry the iPhone 3g. I also asked him about what if I had a 3g and it had problems he said that I would most likely get a refurbish 3g and if not I would have to pay the extra for an upgrade to 3gs. I only asked this because my girl has a horrible crappy 3g and thought I could crash hers on purpose to get her a 3gs but oh well. I will just hand her mine when I up to the iPhone 4

it's all timing..my gf showed up with her broke 3g and the place didn't have any 3g in stick so they gave her a 3gs...she was pretty happy about it
