This happened about three years ago but it is still having repructions on our family. This is a true story.
My parents are devorced and we live a street apart. My dad was supposed to pick us up at 5:00 but he didn't show up so we asked my neighbor who is a close friend to go over and check on him, my neighbor found my dad on the couch with a cut on his head and he was really out of it. My neiborgh called for an ambulance, little did they know they were wasting time. At the hospital they realized that a three inch nail was lodged through an artery and in his brain. If I forgot to metion my dad is a carpentor and his work shop was in our basement.

Any way they found out that this nail was in his brain and they sent him to Yale.

The surgeon said he had a 2% chance of living through the surgery. But he did. He was in intensive care for three months it wasn't until later that we realized that his nail gun must have mis fired and he had to pull him self up the stairs he is alive now but still can't remember my middle name or birthday
