Hug Your kids
Forums › General Discussion › Hug Your kids-
My son had a best friend and they were always together both 15 and liked sports and healthy. Well last week My sons friend was on his way over and called to let us know he was coming. Well we waited and waited and my son decided to go out and see if he was close and realized his friend had collapsed on our front yard. We immediately started cpr and had an ambulance there with in 5-10 ten minutes.
Well unfortunately today the decision for him to be pulled from the ventilator was made because after the sedation and trying figure out was wrong that he would not have any quality of life.
My son's friends family is rocked and I can not imagine ever having to make that decision and made me realize how much I appreciate my kids so remember when your kid is being a jerk or doesn't want to listen or doesn't think the same as you that in a fleeting moment they could be gone. So hug them and let them know you love them.

That is terrible. I'm so sorry for your son and even more sorry for the family.

I am sorry to Hear that no parent should have to go through that

Oh my god. I'm so sorry. This is a good message to share all around. Not just with parents and their children. But friends and lovers as well. However, the bond with a child I couldn't imagine being broken in such a horrible way. I'm so sorry your son has to experience this.

Scary... When I became a parent I knew I would spend the rest of my life worrying.
My deepest condolences -
Sorry to hear that! I had to give CPR one time and it was one of the craziest things I have ever been through.
-
Oh my god, that is shocking. I am upset to hear about that especially for the family.
-
My prayers go to your family and the kids family.
God bless

I have a small glimpse into how horrifying this is. I almost lost my daughter to a freak accident when she was just 6 months old. I had to do CPR on her. I thank God everyday that I was blessed to have my daughter back! My prayers go out to you guys and your friends family!

I will pray for everyone

It's incredibly hard to see my son so upset. He's a good kid and besides my father passing 3 years ago this is his only other experience with death.
-
That's horrible. I wish for you and everyone involved the strength and wisdom to get through this. My heart goes out to your son.

Absolutely tragic. Support your son, he is probably going through horrendous "if only" guilts. So sorry for all involved.
