I use to compete in powerlifting years ago. Mostly benchpress and deadlift I was not great at the squat. I am curious what the youth of today are putting up for numbers.

Nice numbers Nemesis, you should be able to clear 250kg on the deadlift based on your other numbers.

Lol...i'm crap compared to you guys, I can only press 37.5kg... But my bodyweight is 42kg so I geuss it's ok...

1.5 times your bodyweight on the bench is good. 2 times your body weight is great. 2.5 times your body weight is excellent. Keep working at El Borges.

For a good bench make sure you work on your Triceps and back as well. Google powerlifting for the others. FYI a great bench also has the benifit of you being able to punches someones head off their body. Haha

What to do for reps is always open for debate and is based on the invividual and ones goal. I always did 10,10,5,5,3 as my rep sets. With the first 10 being low and last 3 very high. Once you get to 10,10,5,5,5 then move the weight up.

Based on these numbers I would change it to this

Go 3 times a week max.
Mon,Wed,Fri. Put aside 30 minutes per day. In 30 days( if don't spank the monkey to often) you will see a great increase if you are just starting off. You will be able to punch someone head 1/2 off. Lol -
I was in the 300's on bench, never tried squats though...

My bro is 16 and he bench presses 230, my dad is 45 lol and he can squat 300 (not bad for old people :)) and I am 13 and I benchpress- 100 (less then my weight lololol) and squat only 110 :(. I don't think I will be a powerlifter :(.

I'm been into weight since I was 16.. As of now without a spot I bench 325lbs, squat I could do 400lbs without a spot.. Deadlift I don't have the room to throw it over my head.. Leg press I could go for day! I could go crazy I just can't afford to hurt myself.. I can't leave the business with the workers.

Ohh those are numbers I do 3 sets of 10 for each.. If I could I push 3 sets of 15 or 20

O-Dogg is another beast.
I still have over 3k in free weights in my house from back in the day. My prize and joy are a set 100lbs plates. I hated racking and unracking plates. -
I'm pushing 195lbs. If I wouldn't of taken 3 months of Vacation off I would of been pushing 4 plates. Doing push ups to keep my strenght up.
