Paranoia 👀 any help peeps?

Hi all. Resently I've been suffering from what I can only describe as paranoia. As I walk through the streets I find myself sizing everyone up, wondering of they are carrying a weapon and what their intentions are. It's worse when I'm out drinking, I'm the guy my friends call if 'shits gonna kick off' so im always on edge cos of that. And the whole sizing people up thing gets even worse!

The whole thing is really getting to me. It's not that I'm scared cos I can handle most situations, it's just I find I can never relax, even when I'm at home. Does anyone here have any experience of this? Thanks. (and I've never taken drugs)

Could you be suffering from PTSD?
Are you a vet or recently been in a stressful/dangerous situation?
It is always good to be aware of what's going on around you. I think it is a natural male primal instinct. It is not much fun if you can never relax though. I emplore you to embrace uncertainty. if some shit happens take solace in the fact that you are ready for it but do not dwell on danger. Dwell on the positives.
If you continue to feel this way for a long time talk to someone about it.
In this life there will be some trouble, but if you worry you'll make it double, don't worry, be happy!

I've done military service but I've not been to a combat zone as such so PTSD isnt an issue. Im thinking about seeing my doctor but I don't want to waste their time. And I'm not one to talk about feelings with my mates, which is why I posted here as you can be somewhat annonous. Thanks.Could you be suffering from PTSD?

I have an extreme case of paranoia...
You just need to learn to control it/ignore it. It's not something to worry about. -

The doctors will just give you some pill and send you off. Practice mediation or yoga. It helps relax the body and mind. Lots of people say it helped with their anxiety issues

That's a good one too. I know there are good pills for the body, but a lot of the stuff we give dosnt really solve the issue. They have stange side effects and only mask a problem. Therapy could nail it and fix the source.Jeff 🍆 Newton wrote:

Simple ways to cure paranoia:
1) Live on a house overlooking Lake Lachrymose.
2) Buy a shotgun to defend from zombies.
3) Hide as many Uzis as possible under your pillow. -

Although I fully agree with yours also. Sometimes just relaxing the mind can help. It feels good to mellow the brain sometimes. Whether its yoga or doing a puzzle or just watching a movie. Everyone has something that calms them. Maybe he just needs to find his.Ꮹཞ།ཀཀ wrote:
