Opinions on ownership of virtual goods

Q. When goods are purchased in a virtual environment such as the one we play in, who has rights to the ownership of the goods you purchase with DP that`s been bought with real currency?
Where does real world law stand with regards to virtual intellectual property rights and does it apply to our environment?

Your character isn't intellectual property. I think you have a few laws mixed up

No they can't. Intellectual property is something you create. The game itself is intellectual property. Your purchases count as virtual property. A totally different set of lawsHyperThyroidism wrote:

You may be able to claim purchased items are your virtual property and therefore protected. But you'll never be able to get into an ip claim.
