Its forensics time and my speech is an Original Oration about deafness thru experience in real life im deaf more hard of hearing rather deaf and the speech goes along bullying the deaf just as much as a real disabled person like someone in a wheelchair or something like that people tend to neglect the hard of hearing and deaf more than the more physically disabled but my speech has the problem stated but I need facts and research but I'm going to you guys

No, that's the reason why it's such a good idea, it proves the point of how hard it is to over come the handicap. The audience of the speech have a hard time understanding him the same way a deaf person has trouble dealing with not being able to hear.

Personally I think I would notify my teacher/professor about signing the speech.Give them a hard copy of it. It would reverse the the effects of being disabled onto the listener. They would be loss, not having a clue what is being said kinda like how a deaf person experiences things. Just a idea.

Maybe you could discuss how terribly socially isolating being limited to communicating in sign language is.

Hence the now common "mainstreaming" and the integration with regular hearing populations but the difficulties of it:
bullying, people assuming you are on drugs or developmentally challenged, how classrooms make accommodations for the physically disabled but what is often forgotten for the deaf (teachers turning to the board so after during important explanations), etc.

Bring up the importance of the disabilities act and equal opportunity.

Any of these ideas help?

Good luck! A great friend of mine in high school was completely deaf. I knew her for three months before I knew. She read lips that well and I just assumed she had a speech impediment! Lol

She was an amazing girl since this was back in the stone age. I was soooo excited to finally be able to use the sign language I self taught myself as a teen.

She was like, I don't know any of that! I was a little bummed.😉
